This information is an eye opener of sorts. We all love our pets but sometimes situations are so averse that we cannot take care of our pet and have to give it away. This article deals with what to do in such situation.
Now if you are giving your pet for free there would be lots of applicants, some serious and some with the sole aim of making money out of your pet. This may sound ridiculous but the sad thing is that it’s true. Some people are interested in your pet so that they can make money out of it. Say in case of dog they may be used to fight in a dog ring. The charlatan knows what to say and how to say to fool you because they have been doing this for a long time now. The best way to recognize a charlatan is by charging a nominal fee of around $30-$40 from the interested applicant.
Granted that asking for money does not seem the right thing to do but look at it this way. But this is the only way that you can be assured that your pet is in safe hands. Say for example, in case of dog, grooming, worming and a trip to vet cost you around $100 and if the interested party cannot even pay a nominal sum of around $30 how do you expect him to take care of your pet when you are not there. If he is genuinely interested then obviously he will understand that asking for $30 is not wrong as before adoption pets have to take shots and this alone cost $50.
Charging money for the pet is not the way to make money out of your pet but it is the way to make sure that your pet remains in safe hands.
